RELAXING BADGER
Say hello to Scarlet, one of our resident Badgers. She went through a traumatic time in 2020 after receiving a nasty injury to her right paw, probably from a fight with another Badger, thankfully she fully recovered. As you can see from the photo she likes lounging around and being relaxed
WATER VOLE IN BROOK
The Water Vole has declined by around 90% in much of the waterways arround the UK. This loss is down to habitat loss and predation by the North American Mink. In 2015 the brook through the golf course was the best place in the whole county for Water Vole, in 2017 there was nothing, the mink had come in and decimated the Voles. Fast forward to 2020 and the Water Vole returned but at the time of writing it is not breeding on the course.
RED FOX
The Fox is often seen on the course in the late evening and on cam through the night. Pic shows a fox cub on patrol.
STOAT HYPNOTIC DANCE
The Stoat was trying its best to distract the greenkeeper so it could grab its prey.
BLACK SQUIRREL
The melanistic form of Grey Squirrel, usually 1-2 around the golf course
scarlet and skeeter peanut fight
2 of our Badgers having a peanut dispute
deer family getting chased off by a rogue stag.
Inquisitive Otter
Otter caught on cam under the bridge on the golf course.
Playtime
The trailcam was sett up on a new Badger sett on the Carthagena course for the first time. Fabulous footage of Badgers playing.
