THE CONSERVATION BUDDHA
A Very British Blog About Wildlife
ABOUT THE BUDDHA
My name is Stephen Thompson.
I have a lifelong interest in birds and working outside had always appealed to me.
I started work at the RSPB Headquarters on a volunteer basis then on a youth training scheme helping out on the reserve and the gardens before moving on to John o Gaunt Golf Club on 5th November 1990, I was there for 32.5 years before moving on to Woodhall Spa Golf Course in Lincolnshire.

In 32 years of working on a golf course, I have come to realize just what a special part they have to play in conservation and protecting our native wildlife.
I have recorded Birds, Butterflies, Mammals, Moths, Dragonflies, Bats, and more on the golf courses.
I am passionate about Wildlife & Conservation and I love communicating that passion to people.

I am always on the lookout for wildlife wherever i am.
