My name is Stephen Thompson.

 

I have a lifelong interest in birds and working outside had always appealed to me.

I started work at the RSPB Headquarters on a volunteer basis then on a youth training scheme helping out on the reserve and the gardens before moving on to John o Gaunt Golf Club in November 1990.

In 30 years at the Golf Club, I have come to realize just what a special part Golf Courses have to play in conservation and protecting our native wildlife.

I have recorded Birds, Butterflies, Mammals, Moths and so much more.

I am passionate about Wildlife & Conservation and I love communicating that passion and reminding people that

 

A Golf Course is not just a Golf Course.
